Community Association Manager (CAM) license in Florida you must:
1. Be at least 18 years of age.
2. You must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
3. You must have a United States Social Security number. *You do not need to be a Florida resident.
4. Complete a state-approved 16-hour pre-licensing course.
5. Get your fingerprints taken. *Must have good moral character.
6. Submit and obtain approval of a CAM application.
7. Pass the state examination with a score of 75% and over.

Step 1: Enroll Into a Pre-Licensing Course

CAM candidates are required to complete 16 hours of online or classroom course. Cost: $689.00, payable to Prestigious Property Management Services.

Step 4: Schedule and Pass the State Exam

Take the State exam online or in person at Pearson Vue Test Center. It generally takes 7 to 14 days for the State to approve your application. Once approved, you will receive an email notification and a Candidate ID number (FLDBPR ID). Use this ID number to sign up for your CAM exam with Pearson Vue. Pearson VUE test centers are located throughout the United States. You will certainly find a test center near you. Your CAM exam approval status is good for one (1) year. You can retake the Florida state exam as many times as you wish. You simply need to wait 24 hours to reschedule the examination. Cost: $31.50, payable to Pearson Vue. Step 2: Get Your Fingerprints Taken

Florida State requires electronic fingerprints be taken and criminal background checked before issuing a CAM License. Fingerprints can be taken at Pearson VUE and other authorized location across the U.S. The Originating Agency Identification (ORI) number to provide for CAM licenses is FL921932Z. Step 3: Submit Your CAM License Application

The application can be completed online, no matter where you live. It takes about 10 days to get your application approval. Once approved, you will receive an email notification and a candidate ID number (FLDBPR ID). Cost: $205.50, payable to the Florida DBPR.

*Note: The cost to become a community association manager in Florida can vary depending on the school tuition fees and where you get your fingerprints.
